15th August at St. Anne’s School
Every year, 15th August is celebrated with great joy and pride at St. Anne’s School. It is a special day for all of us as it marks the Independence Day of our country, India. On this day, we remember the brave freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for our nation’s freedom.
The celebration at school starts early in the morning. All the students and teachers gather in the school courtyard. The Principal hoists the national flag, and we all sing the National Anthem with pride. After that, there are speeches, patriotic songs, and cultural performances by the students. Some students also dress up as freedom fighters and share short skits and poems that remind us of India’s struggle for independence. The whole school is decorated with tricolour flags, balloons, and posters. It’s a day filled with respect, energy, and a strong feeling of patriotism. We all go home feeling proud to be Indians and thankful for the freedom we enjoy today. Here are some glimpses of yesterday's programme.
